  1. This is An excellent article. I especially like this part.
“You shouldn’t sit around and avoid your passion because you don’t think you could financially survive on it because you can”: because if you are passionate enough, you’ll put in the effort to make it happen, and it will happen. Great job.

Great article, and so in tune with what is going on in my life. I had a job for three years which made me miserable. Eventually I got up the courage to pack it in with nothing else to go to. It has been pretty scary but I needed the time to look deep inside myself and figure out what would really make me happy. Then I realised that I wanted to be my own boss, and I decided to do whatever it takes to make this happen. So I found a franchise that gave met the three criteria I had set out:

    1. Flexibility
    2. Very Low Stress Levels
    3. Do Something That Helps Other People.

Because this business raises money for charity with every order I place and only takes 3-4 days a week it is perfect for me. A lot of people think I am nuts to start something up in a recession. I am gonna take the risk though no matter what anybody says. A great video I watched which has given me a lot of strength over the last few months is called the Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale. This is a must watch!!!!

Linda, I am really grateful towards what you have shared. The only reason for stress I see in the lives of people today is, what you have said in third point, “Do Something That Helps Other People”. This is missing in the lives of people. And also thanks for sharing nice video. It tells how to be successful while remaining satisfied.

Wonderful video, thank you! My goal is to help people relate to each other. And that is what I am doing and having a good time.

This is such a positive article and just what I needed to read! I’m currently looking into bringing some products over from China, I was feeling really positive about it and I’m very passionate, but keep getting negative comments from friends, telling me I’m slightly mad. I believe that what I’m aiming for will work and this site has given me a much needed lift. Thanks so much!

The Google Translation of Barbara’s comment:
First: just be who you are, then you change … What is that shit?

As I know English, I reply here in English only.

@Barbara – It might have confused you, sorry for that. But its pretty simple. You have to change from ‘what you are not’ to ‘what you are’.

      &

‘what you are not’ means ‘you are not following your passion’

‘what you are’ means ‘you follow your passion’

      Got it 🙂

All that has been described on this page is very much what I thought I had been doing for the past ten years. I am a performing musician and I have been working hard, playing 3 live gigs a week, I thought this was my passion. Can passions change? I have recently started teaching the guitar to other people and have discovered that I really love it. It makes me feel good about myself and so happy for my pupils.
